If any stabilisers are fitted they should only be lifted a minimum amount to clear any ground obstructions. Another rule is that if a tower is moved whilst being in an assembled state, the height of the access tower should not exceed 2.5 times the minimum base dimensions. If it is greater in height than this, the scaffold tower should be dismantled and re-assembled in it's new required location instead. 

Safety during use:
