For the removal and floor preparation of light marks, imperfections, and ridges the carborundum grinding blocks are normally sufficient. For heavier work it is advised that you choose the DFG400 with the optional diamond grinding disc fitted. This attachment is useful for removing form marks, bumps and ridges in most types of stone and concrete floors, as can be found in many factories, garages, workshops, industrial units, and warehouses within Sheffield.   

Removing floor tiles and lino tiles 

The removal of linoleum and vinyl floor tiles requires a totally different type of machine to a concrete floor grinder machine. For the lifting and removal of carpet tiles, lino, and old adhesive a tile lifting machine is needed. 

These are fitted with an oscillating blade on the front of the machine that when inserted into the leading edge of a tile it breaks the adhesive and effectively lifts and scrapes the tiles up.

If using "blocks" these fit onto the two revolving platens (3 on each platen) and are easy to fit if you need to alternate between the wire brush and carborundum types.
